"The wise seek counsel."
Proverbs 12:15

Rev. Jon R. Harris brings a rich background into his association with Christian Counseling Concepts, which he has been with since 2004.

He received his seminary degree in Pastoral Counseling from Eastern Mennonite Seminary and was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel. With an eclectic ecclesiastical background (Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Christian and Missionary Alliance, and Evangelical Free Church), Rev. Harris’s counseling has a broad-based spiritual foundation. In addition to his seminary training, he is a graduate of Dr. Lawrence Crabb’s Institute of Biblical Counseling and received Clinical Pastoral Education at Western State Mental Hospital in Staunton, Virginia. During his time there, he served as a Chaplain/Counselor in the Alcoholic Rehabilitation Ward.

In 1990, Rev. Harris helped to initiate the School of Christian Counseling at Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Georgia, where he taught biblical and pastoral counseling courses for eight years. He is Board Certified with the International Board of Christian Counselors and has also earned certifications as a Christian Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Pastoral Counselor with the American Society of Christian Therapists. He is also a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Rev. Harris is happily married to Patricia for 46 years. They have one daughter, who is married to an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and has blessed them with two grandsons.
